ECO is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time stormwater engineer to join our small team located in the beautiful Mahoning River Valley (Youngstown, OH).
ECO is actively seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for immediate employment in the Northeast Ohio region (with remote working as an option). This is a permanent part-time plus to full-time position (24-32 hours/week on average). The successful candidate will support ECO’s technical services group in leading projects and serving on project teams planning and designing water resources and stormwater infrastructure. Strong candidates for this potion will have 5-10 years of civil engineering and stormwater design experience; a Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering (Master’s preferred), and be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE). An ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
· Development of stormwater comprehensive plans
· Leading design analyses through application of quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques.
· Preparation of stormwater design reports, stormwater modeling, SWPPP development and/or SWPPP inspections
· Understanding of the Ohio EPA’s General MS4 permit and MS4 program requirements
· Planning and/or design of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) and low impact development (LID) practices
· Preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimate (PS&E) packages for public and private stormwater management facilities and/or site development civil engineering projects
· Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
Strong team collaboration, clear written and verbal communication abilities, and excellent organizational skills are highly desirable. Other desirable qualifications include client and agency coordination experience, business development skills, and a passion for implementing environmental programs and projects that increase the sustainability, health, and evolution of our communities.
